High School Faith Formation (9th - 12th Grade)

All 9th-12th graders are encouraged to be involved in our Faith Formation programs.  Saint Susanna is blessed to have a wonderful team of adults willing to volunteer as our Youth Ministry Mentors.  These small groups meet on Sunday evenings from 6:30-8:00 p.m.  Students are encouraged to grow intellectually and spiritually through the Faith Formation Program and High School Youth Ministry.  Click below for a registration form or for information about Youth Ministry offerings (service opportunities, mission trips, conferences, retreats etc.).
Confirmation Preparation Program
9th and 10th Grade
Our high school students are invited to be part of small discipleship groups as part of our Confirmation preparation.  The 9th & 10th grade small groups take place on Sunday Evenings from 6:30pm - 7:30pm.  We will be using resources from yDisciple.   

Immediate Preparation for the Sacrament of Confirmation happens during the 10th grade year.  If you're in 11th or 12th grade, you are welcome to join classes out of sequence.  Contact the Coordinator of Youth Ministry. 
Faith Formation Classes
11th and 12th Grade
If 11th and 12th Grade Students are interested in attending a 11th & 12th grade RE class contact the Coordinator of Youth Ministry.  If there is enough interest we will hold a class for these students.
Students who have already received Confirmation are encouraged to stay involved in the parish in many ways.  
Here are a few ways: 
     - Help as a catechist for Pre-K-8th grade
     - Help with ministries at weekend Masses 
     - Attend our weekly PEER (High School Youth Group)
     - Help lead the 9th and 10th grade Retreats
     - Help with service projects that are offered to all high school students

10th Grade-
Preparation for the Sacrament of Confirmation:

Students who attend Cardinal Ritter or another Catholic High School should register for 10th Grade Confirmation Classes.

10th Grade Retreat
Saturday, November 9- Sunday, November 10, 2024

The REFLECTIONS Confirmation Retreat will be held at Bradford Woods.   A team of 11th-12th graders, college students, and adults plan and run the retreat.  Team will begin the weekend with a Leadership Retreat starting Friday, Nov. 3 at Bradford Woods as well.

This is a required aspect of our 10th grade Confirmation preparation, so students are expected to attend.  If they cannot make the retreat held by St. Susanna, they will attend an alternate retreat at another parish.
