Bible Studies
The Bible and the Virgin MaryJoin us for a Bible Study that unveils the mystery of Our Lady that is woven into the fabric of Sacred Scripture. Who is the Blessed Virgin Mary? What is her role in God's plan for the world? What vital role does she play in our lives? This study will guide us as we ponder these questions and more.
This is a 12-week course that will meet once a week for approximately 2 hours. This group will be led by St. Susanna parishioner and catechist - Pete Heugel. |
Each meeting will begin with a visually stunning video presentation that is guided by some of today’s leading minds in Catholic Theology and teaching, including Scott Hahn. These videos will bring to life in a powerful way the beauty of the doctrine and devotions surrounding Mary. Following the video, there will be time for group discussions and questions.
This course is offered through the St. Paul Center for Biblical Theology (www.stpaulcenter.com). Each participant will receive a student workbook, the book Hail Holy Queen and 4 months of unlimited viewing/streaming of the study videos. Even if there is a meeting or two you are unable to attend, the online streaming gives you access to the videos from the session you missed. The $45.00 registration fee covers the book Hail, Holy Queen, the study workbook, the 4-month unlimited online access to the study videos as well as shipping & handling. All materials will be distributed at the first meeting. You are welcome to pay online (see attached link) or by check/cash. If choosing to pay by check, please make payable to "St. Susanna." Check and cash payments can be dropped off at the parish office in an envelope labeled Bible Study to the attention of Katie V. Be sure your name is included so that Katie can provide you with a receipt. In order to place a bulk order for the books & workbooks and receive them by the first meeting, we are asking that participants register by December 31st. You are welcome to register past that date, but the materials may be delayed. |
