    What is a Parish Mission?
A Parish Mission is a series of talks (presentations) that usually take place over a number of days and seek to bring the participant into relationship/friendship with God and His grace. It is a time of spiritual renewal for the parish, similar to a retreat and is something special and out of the ordinary.

Fr. Jack preached a powerful and engaging homily at the 5:30pm Mass prior to the start of the mission and shared about what we can look forward to with the Parish Mission.  For your convenience, we also livestreamed/recorded each session:

In appreciation for Fr. Jack's time and witness, we are collecting a free-will offering for the youth of Fr. Jack's home parish (St. John Vianney in Lithia Springs, GA).  The donations will help send the youth from his parish on a mission trip with Fr. Jack to Nicaragua this summer.  Thank you for your generosity!
If you would like to donate electronically to support the mission trip for the youth of St. John Vianney, use this link:

Fr. Jack shared a list of his favorite spiritual books:

Left to Tell: Discovering God Amidst the Rwandan Holocaust  - Immaculee Ilibagiza
My most recent favorite book.  Great book about mercy and forgiving others.
I couldn’t put it down, I read it in 5 hours.  - Fr. Jack
Mother Teresa: In the Shadow of Our Lady - Joseph Langford, MC
This book is great to develop a Marian Spirituality through the eyes of Mother Teresa of Calcutta
33 Day to Morning Glory - Fr. Gaitley
A great modern take on the traditional Marian Consecration
God in Action - Francis Cardinal George, O.M.I.
God rest Cardinal George, I had the opportunity to meet him and listen to him in a conference.
This book looks at How faith in God can address the challenges of the world.
The Reed of God -  Caryll Houselander
A great small book for those developing Marian Spirituality
Mother Teresa Come Be My Light: The private writings of the “Saint of Calcutta”
I am a huge fan of Saint Teresa of Calcutta.  I have read this book many times.
    Interior Freedom  - Jacques Philippe
A classic in my personal library that I have read a couple of times.
The Practice of the Presence of God – Brother Lawrence (Make sure you get the Modern English Version)
If you are just looking a great start or restart to your prayer life, this is a must read.
Just make sure you get the Modern English Version.
Pierced by a Sword – Bud MacFarlane Jr.
Just a great fast read novel about the apocalypse from a Catholic Perspective.
A great fiction based on truths of our faith.  Also an easy quick read.
Hiking the Camino: 500 Miles with Jesus – Father Dave Pivonka, T.O.R.
I walked the Camino de Santiago in 2007 (The way of Saint James) It is the 3rd most traveled Catholic Pilgrimage.
This book was a great easy read.
    The Way – Josemaria Escriva
One of my favorite small daily reads, kind of like small nuggets or points of Faith from the prayer life of Saint Josemaria.
